5 MONTHS!

My boys are 5 months! Yeah! They are doing so good and gaining a ton of weight. We started them on food last week and they seem to enjoy it. Yes they are still nursing! I am crazy but they don't really like the formula. I said I would do it for 6 months but we will see how it goes. We finally had to put them in seperate cribs because they would wake each other up. They love to roll and play on their bellies. I got some shots of them on the floor wrestling with each other. Oh I am in for it! Charlie is giving Haden the fish hook! ouch!

Haden was born 5.13 lbs and is now 13.8 lbs
Charlie was born 3.15 lbs and is now 11.9 lbs

A Good Doctor Anyone?

Does anyone in Las Vegas have a good pediatrician? I love mine but he is so busy I can't get an appointment with him to save my life! I need someone on the North end of Las Vegas who won't make me wait. If you know one please leave me a comment! My poor boys will be 6 months before they get their 4month shots. Thanks!

Twins Monthly Pictures!

I have been getting crap about taking the boys monthly pictures. So here they are. I am going to try and do better. I can't believe how much they have grown. They will be 5 months on August 30. In some of these picture they look so much a like. I think Haden looks like Kenny and Charlie looks like Tommy (Kenny's little brother).

2 MONTHS ( Haden on Left)

3 MONTHS( Charlie on Left)

Oh I love my kids!

This is what I get to wake up to every morning! I just wanted to give a little update on the kiddos. We have decided that Charlie is going to be the athlete. He has been rolling over for a month now. Haden hasn't quite had the guts to try but he is going to be our little genius. He loves to sit and look at everything. Both boys are smiley little things and will giggle when you talk to them. The last two nights they have slept nine hours straight!! Yeah!! I hope it lasts because it feels so good to wake up and have energy.

Brinlee has become a little fish. She loves to swim but didn't really love swim lessons. She is a negotiator and doesn't like to be told what to do. She has grown a lot in the last month and is becoming a bean pole. She loves to talk and play with her brothers. She loves them so much I will find her asleep in their room because she says,"she misses them and wants to see their faces." Now how do you get mad at that. She turns four in about a month and tells us she wants a TV for her room. She is her fathers childShe will start preschool again in the fall and we are counting down the days. She is so bored with us.

So all is well with the Sorensen Family. We don't go much but we keep ourselves pretty busy!

New Pictures of the Kids!

My very talented friend Jeanna Hayes came over and took these incredible pictures of my kids. Here are a few of the many that she took. Do you think the boys are identical? Normally they look different, but in these pictures I think they look more similar. Thank you Jeanna for the wonderful pictures!

A Full House!!

So finally both boys are home with us. Charlie spent two weeks in the NICU and Haden was there three. We are so lucky that they are totally healthy. They have been sleeping and eating really well. At night they are sleeping for about four hours at a time. We are hoping that it only gets better. Brinlee loves her brothers and always wants to be holding them or helping me with them. So far things are going good and I haven't wanted to pull my hair out!

Here are my boys!

So on Monday March 29th I had a doctors appointment and they told me that Charlie was struggling inside of me and they were going to give me another week and then deliver me. So Tuesday March 30 I took Brinlee over to her Grandma Sorensen's to play. Cousin Eddie and Jarett made us lunch and we hung out for awhile. By the way I had not shower and was looking pretty nasty. I took Brinlee home to take a nap and we were laying in her bed she was just about to fall asleep and I started feeling really weird so I stood up. All the sudden my water broke and it came pouring out. I made it to her bathroom and started to panic because I was not ready and couldn't remember what to do. So my first call was my mom because I new Kenny was across town and she would be home. Oh yeah she was in Henderson at my brothers game along with my dad and my sister. So I called Kenny and he told me to call his mom. So thank goodness Roxie and Cindy were home. My water broke around 2:00pm. They came over with in a few minutes. Roxie took me to the hospital where Kenny met us. I was really nervous that maybe I had just peed my pants and that they would send me home and think I was crazy. However when I got there they hooked me up and told me that my water did break and that I was having contractions.

Oh I forgot to tell you that both my OB and my specialists were out of town for the whole week. So I knew that I would be delivered by my OB's partner. They had me scheduled to go into surgery as soon as possible. So as soon as my lovely doctor showed up they got me ready. To my surprise my specialists partner who I saw the day before for my regular appointment drove across town just to help deliver my boys. She told me she was worried about me and wanted to come be there. My OB's partner was awesome and I couldn't have asked to be in better hands.

As they took me into surgery I started panicking. The room freaked me out and then tons and tons of people started coming in. I think there were like twelve people in the OR. I was so glad when Kenny got to come in because I thought I was going to pass out. It seemed like it took forever, but it was really cool to see my boys for the first time. By the way I think a c-section is worse than regular birth.

Charlie Jacob came out first at 5:00pm 3lb 15oz his cord was half the size of his brothers and was wrapped around him 3 time. They think this is why he was so much smaller. They also said he probably would have died if I would have gone another week. This totally freaked me out and have realized how blessed we are to have him. He looks like a Sorensen for sure. He is actually doing really well. They say the smaller baby does better outside the womb because they struggled so bad inside. He is eating like a pig and is on track to come home maybe in the next week. He has already peed on my twice in diaper changes. He is a smiler and is very alert when we hold him.

Haden David was second at 5:02pm weighing 5lb 7oz. He also had his cord wrapped around him but was stealing everything from Charlie. We are not sure who he looks like. He is a little swollen from all the IV fluids. He is dong so much better and is now eating and is off of his oxygen. We are hoping he keeps doing well and maybe come home in a few weeks. He is a sweetheart and smiles when we rub his feet. He is going to be my good sleeper.

Brinlee has been such a trooper and has been so good. This kid has been tossed around and she just goes with the flow. She has been such a great help. She got to help feed Charlie tonight and just sat and played with fingers. She loves her brothers and prays for them every night.

We are so sad that they are not home with us but we are so happy that they are doing better and that they are here. Thanks for all the phone calls and texts. We really do appreciated everything. Pray for my boys.

The picture downloaded all screwy. The first picture is Charlie. Then Brinlee with Haden. Then Haden. The bottom couple are Charlie. Kenny is the only one who has held both boys together. I don't have as many of Haden because we didn't get to hold him until a few days ago.

32 Weeks!

I am happy to report that I am now 32 weeks! Yeah I hopefully can hold out another four weeks. Last Monday I went to the doctor and while I was there I stared having some pretty intense contractions. I was so glad that I was at the doctors office and that Kenny was there because I was freaking out. They monitored me for a little while and then prescribed some drugs to make them stop. So luckily I haven't had anymore. I also found out that the babies are growing a little bit better. Baby A is 4 lb 5oz and baby B is 3 lb 6oz. So they are catching up with each other. I still have to take it easy. I can't believe that I have about 4 weeks until I am a mother of three!!! It is going to get crazy around here! WIsh me luck, I am going to need it! Also I just wanted to post this picture of Brinlee and say that she has been such a good helper and has been so patient with her very slow mommy. She helps me put on my shoes and runs to grab my tums when I need them!

Almost 30 weeks!! Yeah

I am 30 weeks on sunday!! This is so exciting and also so scary. Right now I am on bed rest. Which means I need to take it easy but not bound to my bed. The first week was pretty easy and then the second week I was bored out of my mind. But today I was reassured that it was ok if I went for a ride in the car and stuff like this. The reason for the bed rest is that twin B is not growing as fast as his brother. So they think the less I do the more blood flow the babies will get. I go in twice a week for monitoring which usually takes 2 hrs a visit. In two weeks I will see my specialist again and see if the babies have improved. So we are keeping our fingers crossed that they are growing. If they aren't they will probably take them early, which means they will be in the NICU. We really are trying to be positive and hope for the best. I have had amazing family and friends that have helped me out. Kenny has been super husband and dad. I couldn't do it without him! I'll keep you posted!

Twin Update!

I hate posting pictures of me pregnant. So here I am!!! I am now 27 weeks. My doctor says once I get to 28 weeks the babies have a much better chance of survival if they are born early. So far the boys are a little over 1lb each. One is a little smaller than the other so the doctors are watching them closely. I go to the doctor all the time and it is only going to get worse. I only have like 9 more weeks. I have been feeling pretty good considering the size of my stomach. I am always tired, I haven't been sleeping very well at night, the babies are always kicking me, and don't get to much accomplished during the day. Kenny has been such a great help. I have him do the dumbest things and he never complains or questions them. The one thing he wont do it paint my toes! So I am going to have to just go get them done. Brinlee told us last night that she doesn't want to be a "big sister" she wants to be just "Brinlee". She also has made the following comments, "Mom is your belly going to pop and the babies will come out?", "Mom can you swallow me so that I can play with the babies?", "Mom can you swallow this car so the babies will have something to play with?". We have been laughing a lot around our house. She is so funny. We are still tossing around names. We are working on getting the nursery ready along with the rest of our unorganized house. So far no major problems and no contractions. Keep your fingers crossed we make it to 36 weeks!

Disneyland!

My family decided to take a quick trip down to Disneyland. Everyone came and we had a blast. We stayed at the California Grand Hotel right next to the parks. We had so much fun. I was a little nervous about going because of all the walking. I can barely walk the mall without needing a nap! We decided to bring aunt Georgia's scooter. So me and usually one or two kids rode the scooter around the park. Brinlee had so much fun with her cousins and has asked everyday to go back. I think It will be awhile before we do that again. Here are a few of the pictures.

What am I going to do?

We had an ultra sound toady and we found out that we are having two boys! I honestly didn't think that it was two boys. Kenny and I were both shocked, but really excited. I have always thought that we were going to have all girls. So two boys is going to be a really big change. I told Kenny he has two new Rebel fans! They told us that both boys look great and that they are healthy and growing right on schedule. So pray that they will be calm boys!

Family Pictures!

It has been at least two years since we have had our family pictures taken. So I decided before I get big and round to have them done. Thank you Jeanna Hayes for being so so so patient with Ms Attitude! They turned our great. The only thing is that we are going to have to do them again when the twins come!
